Aging in Place with Dignity
Right in the privacy of your own home...
What does Aging in Place with Dignity really mean?
Scott Colton RN the owner/administrator at VIP Care Pavilion is adamant about not forcing residents to move due to changes in behavior or abilities. Aging in place is especially important when a loved one suffers from dementia, Alzheimer’s or mobility impairment.
Family members caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia will be the first to tell you that behavior changes can occur as this disease progresses. Violence is often the most common symptom that causes the removal of a loved one from their home and into VIP Care Pavilion.
Stacy Hamilton Grant our Alzheimer Advocate at VIP Care Pavilion holds workshops on “How to Cope with Alzheimer’s Disease” for family members and caregivers of those with this disease.
Moving to an Alzheimer’s Facility is stressful for everyone involved. To have to worry about a family member being asked to leave the care facility due to aggressive behavior is not a good experience. Our family owned and operated facility for those suffering with dementia and Alzheimer’s was structured on the principle of NEVER having to move a resident due to behavior problems associated with the disease.
