Stacey, our placement coordinator is often called out for emergency evaluations after hours on potential residents in their home whereby the patient is a potential danger to himself or others; namely the primary caregiver.

One particularly memorable home evaluation was made by a desperate wife who had locked herself in the bedroom in fear of her safety. She was fearful because her husband was a war veteran and was only living in the past and had been hiding guns within the house and was unable to remember where he had hidden the weapons due to very poor short term memory.

Stacey was able to communicate and direct the resident out of the home safely and into the structured programs at VIP Care Pavilion.
