Hospice Comport Care

Vitas Hospice is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at VIP Care. Hospice, a palliative care option allows the resident to age in place generally without having to go to a hospital or nursing home. By using hospice services we allow a third party to help provide the care and case management necessary to provide the best value and most comfortable quality of life surrounded by the caregivers they already know and trust.

Our Vitas hospice team brings the full range of services you would find in a multi-disciplinary team right to the bedside including the following Vitas Hospice Team Members:

• Hospice Physician
• Hospice Nurse
• Hospice Nurses Aides
• Hospice Social Workers
• Clergy

This additional level of care is in addition to the care provided by the VIP care staff. The hospice service is usually covered in full by insurances such as Medicare and HMO's.

Hospice Comfort Care

Comfort for our residents, family members and loved ones

A hospice nurse or counselor is available to comfort the family and discuss our integrated plan of care.

Our residents stay in the facility for the rest of their lives never having to be sent to a nursing home, due to decline in health. We often do this utilizing the services of VITAS Hospice where they provide the skilled care plan that allows our residents to age in place with dignity.
