Greetings family members, caregivers and colleges, I am now a Certified Trainer by the (NCCDP) National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and as such will be teaching some of our staff and the hospice staff which will allow them to apply for this new credential being offered in our field. The inaugural training class will be held in June.

- CDCM = Certified Dementia Care Manager
The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners®, LLC was formed in 2001 by a group of professionals with varying work and personal experiences in the field of dementia care.

While serving as the administrator of V.I.P Care Pavilion, Scott Colton RN is also certified trainer for Alzheimer's disease caregivers by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs where he served on the Alzheimer's Board of Directors for six years.
Scott Colton continues serving as a board member at the Alzheimer's Family Center in Margate and with Stacy Hamilton Grant, is responsible for bringing Project Lifesaver to Broward County. Project Lifesaver is an innovative device that allows searchers to actively search for missing people.
Mr. Colton lectures to the community and professional care givers on the care of people with memory impairments specializing in the care of people using innovative methods with difficult behaviors such as anxiety, agitation, wandering, elopement, and incontinence.
The owner and administrator, Scott Colton, has degrees and credentials in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, and Respiratory Therapy.
